About/Contact

My mission …
At the heart of my practice is the desire to identify and care for the uniqueness of you as an individual and your needs.  I’ll work alongside you to help create the therapy mix to help guide you towards health, happiness and feeling fulfilled.

As a Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor…
I’m a trained and qualified Integrative Arts Psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience.  I trained at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) in London and I abide by their code of ethics.  I have a diploma and MA in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy.  This required four years of training, personal psychotherapy, and regular supervision as a practising trainee therapist.  IATE comes under the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) of which I’m a member.  As a practising psychotherapist I undertake regular supervision to ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of my work.  I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement De-sensitisation Re-programming), DDP (parts 1&2), and CBT.  As a Clinical Supervisor I believe in helping the individuality of the Supervisee flourish, whilst providing a solid practical support.  I have a BPS approved certificate in Supervision Skills.

Experience as a Psychotherapist …
I have worked as a Psychotherapist and Integrative Arts Psychotherapist for The Priory Hospital, with both adults and adolescents as part of the clinical therapy team; London Women’s Centres, supporting women of many nationalities and differing backgrounds; in educational settings for London schools with children and young people of all ages; and for care agencies and companies, as a therapeutic consultant, supervisor and psychotherapist.

As a bodyworker and movement practitioner …
I have nearly a lifetime’s experience in movement and dance, and I’m qualified with: Yoga Alliance and British Wheel of Yoga; Stott Pilates as a mat, reformer, Zenga, and Total Barre instructor; Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in ballet and modern dance; and with the KFA in exercise and movement for adults and young people.  As well as teaching yoga, pilates and dance, I have choreographed for television and taught classes and workshops in London and Hampshire in schools, adult education centres and for the KFA.

I’m a Reiki Level II practitioner and hold a BTEC 5 in Remedial Deep Tissue Sports Massage.

How my history and life experience inform my work …
I began as a dancer; moved on to television where I directed and produced documentaries, factual entertainment, and children’s programmes for the BBC, ITV, and Sky; and then began to draw myself and my skills together by moving into a training in psychotherapy.  Now, when appropriate, I unite my near life-long experience as a movement and body practitioner with psychotherapeutic concepts.  My broad life experience underpins my work.
